Monday, August 21, 2017 – Permalink – No Black SlideEnd the showAfter creating a presentation, save it as a PowerPoint show. This allows you to run the show and not be faced with all the paraphernalia that was used to create it. One negative is that at the end of the show a black slide is displayed. To eliminate this last distraction, so that the show will run and then just return to the desktop, Go to PowerPoint Options (Tools>Options or Logo PowerPoint options in 2007+). Remove the check from "End with black slide". Resave and carry on.  This will hold for every show until the setting is changed. It is not saved with the file.
